Passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Liduina Caetano. Loving father of Manuel Fagundes and his wife Valentina of Cambridge, loving grandfather of Darren and Tracey, and great grandfather of Carlos and Alyssa. Also survived by his brother Carlos of Azores, sisters Conceicao Tavares of Portugal, Branca Medeiros of Rhode Island, Natalia Vargas of Rhode Island. Jose was born in the Azores on July 27, 1934, and has lived in Cambridge since 1960. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Friday May 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose R. C. Church 210 South St. Cambridge on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment Mt. View Cemetery. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home Friday evening at 8 p.m.
