She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill. Joyce will be deeply missed by her daughter, Celia (Bob), who meant the world to her. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Reid (Catherine), Clark (Natasha), and a cherished great-grandmother to Dane, Vance, and Grace, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Joyce is also survived by her sister Ann (Roy) Munns, as well as her nephew Andrew (Sam), and niece Anita. She will forever remain in the hearts of Kyle (Jenny), Kaleigh (Greg), Heather (Richard), and Les Graham, and their families, along with many extended family members and friends who were touched by her strength and kindness.
Born in London, England in 1927, Joyce emigrated to Canada with her husband after the war to build a new life together. She worked as a credit manager throughout her career, a role that reflected her sharp mind, determination, and independence. Fiercely proud and self-reliant, Joyce never wanted to be a burden on anyone and lived her life with quiet dignity.
Her proudest achievement and greatest joy were her family. She took immense pride in her daughter and found deep fulfillment in helping to raise her two grandsons. Joyce especially loved holding the babies in the family, treasuring those moments of closeness and connection, and playing Ring Around the Rosie.
A private family gathering has been held. Interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Garden Cemetery in Scarborough at a later date.
