I babysat most of you a long time ago such great memories.  I imagine there is no worse time than the loss of a mother. Your mom was truly one of the most open and giving human beings I have ever met. I am so blessed that I was able to know he. I have learned life-long lessons through her kindness and in her memory, I will walk through life with a bigger heart. My thoughts are with all of you.

Adam, Ian, Morgan, Carmen, Julie, Val, Nicki, Rob and the Grand 9:  I am thinking of you and your Families and of course Kathy. I have been trying to think of the perfect thing to say but couldn't, and therefore have said nothing. I just want to speak from my heart, I think that is best. When I heard the news and it had sunk in, I wanted to hear Kathy's laugh. It was so upsetting that we wouldn't get to hear her laugh again. But when I quieted my mind and relaxed, I could hear it and I can hear her still. Laughing loudly and joyously. How her laugh would light up her whole face and the room. There have been a lot of tears, and there will continue to be. What I try to keep coming back to though is Kathy's laugh, her Smile, and her Love. My Heart is with you all, Love Cousin Beth xoxoxo

The sad news of Kathy's passing comes as a complete shock! I met Kathy in 1990 at one of the support group meetings for M.E. while I was searching for answers to my own husband's illness. Over the course of those early years, I got to know both Mike and Kathy much better as we spent numerous hours at their house or in their beautiful back yard hashing out the bylaws and constitution of our newly forming Association, of which Kathy was a founding member and a real driving force. My boys were barely still toddlers, but they remember playing with Adam and Ian once or twice while we held meetings. Kathy took on the responsibility of 'manning' our business phone till the internet took over, giving many hours of support, encouragement and information to others seeking help. Despite all her own challenges, she was ever positive and cheery with a great sense of caring and humour. Due to our Association, it was my privilege and blessing to spend many hours on the phone chatting with her and on a couple of occasions had opportunity to drop  by to visit. Despite being bed-ridden, she was the consummate hostess.She was infinitely proud of her growing family and all their accomplishments and in the latter years was thrilled anew with her grandkids. I will miss her, but am glad for some really special memories. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all. God grant you much comfort and strength in your newest loss. I'm finding it hard to believe that the friendship we were just beginning to enjoy has abruptly come to an end. I'm thinking about how, right now, she'd be nurturing the ducks that come annually to her swimming pool, and about how she loved diving into the cool (cold!) water in her swimming pool, and even more so at her beloved cottage. She positively beamed when she was tooting around town on her scooter. These thoughts, and others keep coming to me. She is gone too soon, and she is, and will be, sadly missed.

On behalf of the Olbrych family I want to express condolences to the Promoli kids and grandkids. I knew Kathy to be passionate about, first and foremost, her family, her lake retreats, her dogs and her knitting. 
Blessed to have been counted as a friend of hers....initially connecting with her when I first moved to Cambridge and joined a gym where we shared membership. That was over 25 years ago.

I was one of the kids who got to sing along with Kathy when she played her guitar at church (around 1977).  I thought she was totally cool!  Fond memories and best wishes to you all.

I always referred to Kathy as my "sister's sister". I watched her grow up, become a beautiful young lady and then a baby sitter for my children. She remained a friend  -  we will miss her. Our condolences to all her family.

Suzanne Hamilton introduced me to Kathy when I started grade eleven at G.C.V.I.  Kathy was the girl who was always full of life, good cheer and a hint of mischief. I still remember the swing of her thick, shiny, chestnut hair, cut in a bob and tied with a dark blue velvet ribbon. After high school I lost contact with Kathy, but then reconnected with her and Michael at the G.C. V. I. Reunion, and when my last book was published they drove into Toronto to attend the launch. I was thrilled. 
Kathy has left us far too soon. I shall always remember her lively manner and her sunny disposition.  From looking at the picture gallery, it is clear that she has left a rich legacy of family and friends. I offer my condolences and hope that her family and friends will find solace in happy memories.

It was a privilege to know Katherine (and Michael) for the short time that I did (8 years?).  They were wonderful neighbours and friends on Raven Lake.  They seemed to have a sixth sense to  know when I needed help and would suddenly appear by my side.
I will think of them both often and fondly.
