Childs, Marlena Constance, 77, of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2015 at Grand River Hospital. Born May 30, 1938 in Montreal, Quebec, to Arthur and Virginia (Dubeau) Smith. Beloved wife to the late James Childs, survived by her sons Stanley (Ellie) and Michael, grandchildren Zachary, Megan, and Rebecca, sisters Barbara (Leo), Shirley, Beverly (Aldo), and Doreen (John), and brothers Joseph, William (Kathleen), and Allan (Marlene), and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Arthur, mother Virginia, and sisters Eunice, Pauline, Pearl, Cilina, and brother Stanley. Service to take place on Tuesday December 29, at 2:00 PM at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650), with reception to follow. Visitations to be held prior to the service on Monday December 28 from 2-4 and 7-9. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
