Matthew Robert Foster

April 8, 1937 – September 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Robert Foster on September 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (nee Oliver) for over 65 years; father to Hali (Rick Iorio), Tobi (Mike Schwartz) and Myles (Kate Ware); grandfather to Karsten Macklem, Sydney Schwartz and Meagan Foster; and great-grandfather to Kalin. He was a dear brother to Betty (Ernie-deceased), Florence-deceased (Eddie-deceased), Marjorie-deceased (Jack-deceased), Gloria (Lou-deceased), Kenneth (Jackie) and Susanne (Gerry); and former brother-in-law to Janice. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Matthew was born April 8, 1937 in Niagara Falls to Matthew Robert Foster-deceased and Clara (Moody-deceased). Matt & Joyce raised their family in Cambridge, Ontario. At various times Matthew was an active volunteer and published author concerning current political and environmental issues. Visitation will be held at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Cambridge on Sunday September 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment held at another time. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Matthew made to Doctors Without Borders Canada would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
