Reunited with her beloved husband, Emile, who predeceased her in 2007, Michelle leaves behind a family who will forever cherish the memories they shared and the love she brought into their lives. Michelle was a loving mother to Denis and his wife, Rita, and Dave and his late wife, Kim. She was a proud and devoted mémère to Patrick, Melanie, Jennifer, Ryan (1992), and Jessica, and a cherished great-grandmother to Nikolas, Alexandre, Mika, Gemma, Mason, and Bentley. Michelle will be fondly remembered by her siblings, Marcel and Marje. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Gemma Mercier and her brother Claude Mercier.
In keeping with Michelle's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12 p.m. within the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Michelle's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
