It was a privilege to have been a part of Monica's (and your family's) life.  She had/has such a big, caring, selfless heart and  was/is a beautiful soul. She was a great friend and support to us when the kids were young.  It was obvious she was a vital part of a wonderful, loving family who led by example. She truly and positively touched our lives. She exemplified the meaning of a great mother and had a strong belief in a caring and close family, reflecting that in your girls and Todd.

Monica was an amazing person! I only came into her life 11 years ago, and she welcomed me with open arms. She never arrived without a treat when invited to visit, and we shared many confidences over wine…lol.
She was dedicated to helping her students, and although often covered in bruises and bite marks, she never deviated from her role.
Monica was blessed to have Todd as a partner and together they had two amazing daughters. She was always so proud of Nicole and Natalie. Her trip to Newfoundland this past summer to see Nicole’s play filled her with joy. 
Monica always thought of others first, and was the first to offer assistance to others! 
I will miss Monica! She was a wonderful lady!

Our deepest sympathies. Monica was a truly wonderful woman. Kind and thoughtful and always thinking of others. She was always checking in and reaching out to my late husband Tony, who worked at St. Ambrose. Monica was a constant source of support. She will be missed.

I am truly at a loss for words. The Pitre family and the Duguay family have always been close. We have shared loads of Christmas celebrations together - the kids would all gather upstairs in Hamilton and jump like maniacs on the bed until we were yelled at and told to come downstairs and behave. These are some of my best and most favourite childhood memories. I can't help but love now that when I was really little I couldn't say Monica but had no trouble saying Mocina. So, that's what I called her for years - well past the days when I could say Monica. Lastly - and my most treasured memory now is 2 summers ago when Todd and Monica drove to Sarnia to surprise Don and myself and my Mom - all a plan with my Sister Linda and her husband Tim. We had a lovely visit, lots of laughs and pizza and a few adult beverages.  Enjoy these special moments with loved ones, you just never know. Monica, I know you are with your Mom and Dad and Sis as well as my Dad and many other loved ones. Rest in Peace. With Love.

I feel so blessed to have had the chance to get to know Monica. I was her Massage Therapist for over 10 years. 
Everyone knew when Monica was in because the whole clinic could hear us laughing for the entire appointment. 
I loved listening to all of her stories. Every time she was in she made my day! She was such a proud mom and talked about her daughters; Nicole and Natalie all of the time, as well as her husband Todd. 
She was the most thoughtful and giving person, she would always bring in delicious baked goods and gifts. 
Every time Monica came in she put a smile on not only my face, but everyone that was in the room. She will be so greatly missed!

So sorry to hear of your passing, Although, we worked together for a short time at St. Anne's, you were always helpful, cheerful and ready to lend a hand. The kids all loved you. May you forever rest in peace,

Monica was such a beloved member of our team at Saint Peter. Her warmth and gentleness with the kids was contagious. She set a wonderful example for others and was so kind to all those she worked with. 

As a younger principal who had much to learn, Monica could have given me plenty of feedback. But she did not.  She was always generous with respect, compassion and kindness. She quietly served children and helped me grow with the power of her example. She helped all of us be better because we were privileged to work with her daily.

To Todd, Nicole and Natalie...I am profoundly sorry for your loss. No words could adequately describe just how wonderful Monica was, and how deeply painful her loss with be felt by those who meant the most to her.  She would light up when she spoke about her family and we knew how much she cared about all of you.

We will take time to honour the life and legacy of Monica, who meant so much to all of us. Thank you for sharing her with us. You will be in our prayers as a school family.

My heart felt condolences to Todd and Monica's beloved daughters Nicole and Natalie.  She spoke about all of you often.  I met Monica through my sister and we spent many summer afternoons together by Faye's pool (during the school holidays).  Monica was one of the kindest people I ever met.  She was one in a million and will be dearly missed by all especially her co-workers and students at St. Peter Catholic Elementary School.

She loved gardening and her beautiful garden is where she spent most of her summer reading, it was an absolute credit to her and Todd.

It was great getting to assist with Monica at the school. Whenever I needed help, she was there to help me and she had that funny sense of humor that made me just want to crack up laughing. I remember the one interest her and I both shared was reading. I still own the one book she gave me which I will always hold on to forever to remember her legacy. The last thing she told me was, "Thank you for the Christmas gift, Kyle," which gave me the impression that she knew how to make other staff members at the school feel welcome and included. I will always remember you Monica and for your work that you did for the kids at the school. Thank you.

Monica was a great colleague who always made the days pass by a little easier with her humour and wit. She wasn’t one for photos and I’m a photo maniac, but I’m glad she let me get this one; on a day we were twinning opposites. She is going to be greatly missed and I will especially miss telling her how dark she was from her love of being in the sun and our tattoo talks and showing off our new ink! Monica touched many lives, Colleagues and students alike. I was blessed to have worked with Monica for a few years. Monica was the first person to make me feel welcomed when I started new at the school. I started after the school year had already begun and she could tell I was nervous.  Monica was there for me, she helped ease my worries with kindness, warmth, words of wisdom and of course her jokes. She knew how to make me laugh on even the toughest days and would surprise me with baked goods on my desk. I will cherish the memories and the time I was able to spend with her. Monica touched the lives of so many people. We worked together closely last year in the extended day program, and she was my rock! She helped to make the hard days a bit less with her sense of humour and wit. Always willing to help when needed was a quality I will try to emulate in my own practice. I will miss her special surprises of baked goods in the staff room or when she brought treats to the class, just because. Monica will be in my thoughts and prayers for a long time. God Bless.

I was blessed to not only call Monica a colleague but one of my dearest friends. We enjoyed many glasses of red wine and chicken wings over the years, as we supported each other through many ups and downs. The last gift she gave me was an angel that hangs beside my bed…I would have never imagined she would become our angel. I will miss her beyond measure.
