

Natalie passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the age of 71. Natalie was born to Leslie and Mai Britten January 11, 1951 at the Galt General Hospital on St. Andrews Street. Beloved wife of Harold Fines for 49 years. Dearest mother of Robert Fines (Christina Deline) and Leslie Holmes (Rodney). Proud grandmother of Owen, Rhys, Gwen and Walter. Loving sister of Beverly Girard (Ken) and Michelle Collins (Rick deceased 2019). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
After graduating from University of Waterloo, Natalie started her 1st career as a social worker with the Metropolitan Toronto Department of Social Services. Natalie then became a stay at home mom caring for Robert and Leslie. During these years they lived in Scarborough, Sherwood Park and Calgary, where she started her volunteering career. Back in Cambridge in 1990 she volunteered at Central Public School which led to her 2nd career as an Educational Assistant for the WRDSB. She devoted her time and energy to children with special needs at Central, Woodland Park and Coronation Public Schools until her retirement in 2015.
Natalie was always thinking of others and how she could make their lives easier. In retirement, she volunteered at The Bridges, made meals for her senior friends, enjoyed crafting, and crocheting afghans and baby blankets.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at the T. Little Funeral Home , 223 Main St, Cambridge, ON, Saturday November 5, 2022 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In Natalie’s memory , donations may be made to Cambridge Shelter Corp. - The Bridges, the Cambridge Food Bank, or another charity of your choice.
