Nicolau was the devoted husband of 55 years to his loving wife, Lizete. He was a cherished father to Nelson, Sabrina (Pedro), and Nick Jr. He was a proud and devoted Vâvo to Lucas, Austin, James, Nevaeh, and Oscar, who brought him immense joy.
Nicolau has now been reunited with his beloved parents and siblings, who predeceased him.
Known for his legendary personality, infectious charisma, and larger-than-life presence, Nicolau had a remarkable ability to make those around him smile. His warmth, humour, and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew’s Street, Cambridge on Thursday, July 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Clement’s Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m.
