Phillip Paul Thomas Gies age 74 passed away peacefully at his Cambridge home on Christmas Eve. Loving husband of Diane for 52 years; dear brother of Carol and Gary; proud father of Cheryl, Karen and John; father-in-law and best pal to Wallace; grandfather of Amanda, Josh, Maigyn, Mason, Nicholas, Emily, Owen and Xaivier and great grandfather of Hailey, Bryson, Evan, Isabelle, Caliber and Lucas. Phillip was preceded by his parents Jerome and Mary (nee White) Gies of Kitchener.
Phillip was an avid fisherman and loved to golf. His family and friends will always remember him as happy, fun loving and quick with a joke or funny story. He was a loving husband and father and had many lifelong friends. He retired in 2010 after many years of service in the manufacturing industry. He will be sadly missed by his family and dear friends.
At Phillips request, no services will be held. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to the T. Little Funeral Home (519-623-1290) in Cambridge. The family is grateful for condolences but declines flowers.
