Dearest brother to William “Tom”, Gladys “Cissy”, Rose “Rosie”, Winnifred “Winnie”, Lily and Dorothy “Dotsie”. Predeceased by father William Hogarth, mother Rose (nee Lague), his first wife Hilda “Renee” and son-in-law Peter Greco. Bob will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews in England and Canada.
Robert Moved to Canada from England with his family where he began a career with the Ontario government, which he enjoyed until retirement. Bob had many hobbies and interests over the years. He loved motorcycles and was still riding long into his 70’s. A real jack-of-all-trades, he could fix anything and was always happy to lend a hand where and however he could. Bob also loved to sing, and had quite the voice for it too! He enjoyed his time leading a singing group in the Elora, Fergus, Arthur and Guelph areas where they would sing for the residents of nursing homes. This was an activity that brought just as much joy to him as it did for others. Bob was still singing well into his 90’s, enjoying any opportunities that came his way while at Stirling Heights.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life by family will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, donations to the Cambridge and District Humane Society, The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada or the Alzheimer Society in Bob’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
