
Born March 10th, 1941, in Edmonton, Alberta, Robbie grew up on the prairies where he became an army cadet. This love of service took him to attending RMC and in 1963 Officer 5912 Robert Charles Gray Laird graduated from the engineering program. He then continued his service joining the Strathconas. After his military service, Robbie enjoyed civilian life as an engineer in various capacities. He spent most of his adult life in the Campbellville, Ontario area with his wife, Renee, and two children Heather and Robbie Jr.. He was known as a man of character and perseverance; he enjoyed life to the fullest.
Survivors include his loving wife, Renee Laird of Kitchener, daughter Heather Toll of Dungannon, Ontario, son Robbie Laird Jr. of Whitby, Ontario, and grandchildren Shayna Allison, Jessica, Emma, and Kayla.
Relatives and friends are welcome at the Celebration of Life which is to be held at the family home at 46-165 Chandos Drive, Kitchener, Ontario from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 15th.
