

Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at St. Andrews Terrace at the age of 95. He is together again with beloved wife Anne Sophie Wells (2011). Proud father to Robert J. (Terri) Wells of Puslinch, Deborah Mott (Dave) of Guelph, Wendy (Steve) Mirwaldt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Karen (Dennis) Reeve of Sheffield, Patricia (Dave) Graupner of Saint Malo, Manitoba, Linda (Calvin) Leader of Cambridge, Donna (John) Dokter of Ayr and Diane (Ray) Hawey of Brantford. Loving grandfather to 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his furry grandchild Jamie. Dear brother-in-law to Evelyn Wells. Predeceased by three sisters: Rose Gignac, Stella Goreing, Jean Cassel and two brothers: Bill and Don Wells. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Robert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Brach #121. He served Canada during WWII with the Dufferin and Haldimand Rifle Brantford Regiment. He was employed for Sheldon Manufacturing for 26 years, and later worked for Dave Moffatt for over 20 years after retiring from Sheldon. Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 2-4pm at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650). A Funeral Service will take place the following day on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge at 12pm. Cremation is to follow and a private family inurnment will be held at Mount View Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation in Robert’s memory. A very special thank you to all of the caring staff and volunteers of St. Andrews Terrace, including Deacon Frank Squires for all of your support and care shown to Robert.
