Shirley was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland and loved looking at photos of days gone by. She loved baking homemade bread, a good penny sale, and "bingo night" with the girls; it didn't take much to make her smile. The love she had for her children showed whenever someone asked her about them.
She spent her retirement enjoying endless summer nights at the trailer with friends and family, going on the occasional boat ride, and living life to its fullest.
A special thank you to the staff at St. Mary's General Hospital for their kind words and compassionate care given to Shirley. Their work is appreciated beyond words.
