It is with profound sadness that the family of Tony (Antonio) De Sousa announces his unexpected passing on November 15, 2025, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 68. Tony passed peacefully with his loving spouse by his side.
Tony will be deeply missed by his devoted spouse of 16 years, Debbie. He leaves behind his children Anthony (Jenn) Jaegers, Andrew (Kelsey) De Sousa; and his stepchildren Jeremy (Julie) McArdle, and Jazmine (Eric) Jones. Proud Grandpa to Jeffrey, Chance, Owen, and Savannah McArdle.
He is survived by his siblings Teresinha, Valdemar, and Maria, as well as his sister-in-law Shay. Tony will forever remain in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He is predeceased by his mother Virginia, his daughter Cathy Jaegers, and his siblings Lucia, Jose, and Celestino.
Tony enjoyed the simple but meaningful pleasures of life—fishing, spending time outdoors, gardening, and taking long drives. He was a dedicated employee of Cambridge Brass, where he worked for over 30 years.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew Street, Cambridge on Saturday, November 29th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
