Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Snook) Elsby. Loving father of Kenneth and his wife Gudrun of Milverton, Robert of Kitchener, Vickie Follington (Don) of Paris, Tracy Hobbs of Kitchener. Also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, his sister Betty Scheel of Welland, and Dorothy's children. Victor was born in Kitchener on December 9, 1937 and has lived in Cambridge for the last 15 years. Victor was in the fish business most of his life, and sold fish at many Farmer's Markets and had many friends and colleagues there. He was known as "Captain Vic". The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
