Dear sister of Albert (Pam) Squires and Donnie (Claudine) Squires. Sister-in-law of Odette Squires, Alice (Ralph) Brenton and Genevieve Lynch. She will also be lovingly remembered by her great-nieces, Sheena and Hailey, as well as her extended family and friends.
Violet was born in Newfoundland, a place that always held a very special place in her heart. She loved Newfoundland dearly and it was where she always wanted to be.
In keeping with Violet's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at The Cambridge Newfoundland Club, 1500 Dunbar Rd, Cambridge.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made in Violet’s memory to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hilltop Manor - Blair for the care, kindness and support they provided to Violet throughout the four years she called Hilltop Manor home.
