Wayne Frederick Peddle

Beloved husband and best friend of Jean (née Murphy) for 53 wonderful years. Loving father of Karie Delarosbil and Laura Peddle (Steve Goncalves). Proud Papa of Fate, Alex, and Gabriel Delarosbil, and Ava and Scarlett Leitch. Cherished son of Don Peddle and dearest brother of Marilyn Myers, Judy McGill, and brother-in-law of Laura Parsons, Pamela Murphy, and Sheila (Bob) Sweeney. Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Agnes Peddle (2014). Wayne will be lovingly missed and forever remembered by his extended family, many friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Wayne had a true zest for life and embraced every opportunity to enjoy it. A proud Newfoundlander, he carried his love for his home province wherever he went and cherished everything Newfoundland represented. He spent many happy years playing on a softball team, was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved the open road, and especially treasured the many trips he and Jean enjoyed together. Wayne was a talented baker, well known for his delicious homemade pies, and found great joy in sharing them with family and friends. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. Whether relaxing in the sunshine or surrounded by those he loved most, Wayne found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

The family sincerely wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital ICU, with special thanks to Nurse Lucas McDougall, whose compassionate care and support meant a great deal during Wayne's final days.
