It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of William Lock on August 4, 2016 age 84. Bill passed away at his home St. Andrews Terrace. In loving and comforting arms of his wife Rose of 65 years. Bill lead a full life born Dec. 29, 1931 in North Bay. When Bill was just 18 months old his family moved to Basing Stroke England where he was raised. Bill was listed in the British armed forces for several years as a young man. It was during this time he met and courted his wife Rosie. Bill and Rosie were inseparable until the end. They started their family soon after with the birth of their son Billy (predeceased). Billy had 2 children Tabatha and Susan. Next was a daughter Evelyn, she married Perry, and had Michelle married to Alfie, they had great grandchildren Brady, Kyle, Matt and Emma. Evelyn also had a daughter Melissa, she had great grandchildren Mikayla and London. Tammy was the youngest child to Bill and Rosie. Tammy had 3 children Dylan, Cody and Sky. Bill and Rosie moved to Canada when Bill was 34. Bill was a very patriotic Canadian. Bill would spend his busy days with his beloved dog Lady, who he loved very much until her passing. Bill would spend time making maple leafs out of wood, he would then put them in his beautiful garden. Bill had a love of bald eagles, the way they flew so freely in the sky. Bill moved to St. Andrews Terrace 4 years ago. The moment he moved in it became his home and the staff became not only his caregivers but his extended family. Bill‘s smile would light up the room when the staff would enter. The team at St. Andrews (to many names to mention) provided Bill and his family the Love, Support, and safety needed during his stay. Bill and Rosie never had the big beautiful wedding that Rosie dreamed of, until St. Andrews Terrace stepped in and gave Rosie her dream wedding to Bill, white gown and all. Bill’s family would like to thank the St. Andrews Terrance team for the patriotic sendoff that took place after his passing. As per Bill’s request cremation has taken place and no service at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Coutts Funeral Home. “Fly like a Eagle Bill”
