

Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Christine for 53 beautiful years. Cherished father of Nicola (Brad). Predeceased by his father William Sr., mother Dorothy, and step-mother Ialeen. Missing Bill are his two dogs, a Cocker Spaniel named Trapper and a Shih Tzu named Scottie.
Bill and his family immigrated to Canada from Wales on December 16, 1981. They became friends with the Thompson family immediately after settling down in Port Dover, Ontario when it was still a very close-knit community. Bill made many friends in Port Dover, Simcoe, Grand Bend, Kitchener, Cambridge, and all the other areas he resided in.
Professionally he worked for Stelco from 1982 – 2000 in the Hot Strip Mill at Lake Erie Works in Nanticoke. He loved Elvis and competed in several Elvis impersonation competitions. Bill proudly obtained a life goal of earning his Black Belt in Karate. While living in Port Dover, he enjoyed fishing, and enjoyed sharing that hobby with his daughter. Bill coordinated a dart league within Southern Ontario. While living in Grand Bend, Ontario, Bill and Christine would often go lawn bowling.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at T. Little Funeral Home (223 Main Street, Cambridge). In Bill’s memory, please consider a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a Humane Society in your area.
