It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Russell Williamson. He died at Cambridge Memorial Hospital Saturday, May 2nd, at 90 years of age. He was the loving husband of Alice, dear father to Bruce and Faye Williamson of Cambridge, Bryan and Annette Williamson of Calgary, Joanne and Wayne McLeish of Burlington, and Suzanne and Jim McKee of Barrie. He was a loving grandfather to Sean, Andrew, David, Andrea, Matt, Heather, Mark, Rachel, Joel and Taylor and great grandfather to Zakary, Creed, Dexon and Ellette.
Russ was raised on a farm in Ayr, Ontario. He graduated from McMaster University in 1946. He had various electrical and engineering jobs and ended his career teaching electronics at H.B. Beal Secondary School in London, Ontario. Russ led a life of hard work, integrity and devotion to his faith and family.
At Russ's request, there will be no visitation and a private family burial. All family and friends are invited to a memorial service and celebration of his life on Saturday, May 9th at 11:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 181 Myers Road.
