With profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Edward Woodfield (Bill/Woody) of Cambridge, Ontario on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in his 100th year. He was born on January 1, 1927 in Preston, Ontario. He is predeceased by his loving wife Shirley Wilkinson Woodfield, his daughters Joni and Wendy, his son Mark and his daughter-in-laws Merla and Angie. He will be fondly remembered by his children Debra McCabe (Patrick), Bruce Woodfield, Glen Woodfield (Kristen), and Sara Hutton (Don); as well as by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill was a wonderful father. He was kind and had a gentle soul and always full of gratitude. He loved nature and sports. He played and he coached many minor hockey and softball teams, including winning Ontario championships. He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Buffalo Bills.
Family and friends are invited attend to services at T. Little Funeral Home (223 Main Street, Cambridge) on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. with a reception afterwards.
