She was my fourth grade teacher, a wonderful lady

Mrs. Porter was my fourth grade teacher.  She was lovely and kind, and I remember having my picture taken with her on a sunny day on the playground.

Ethel was on a trip to Ireland that my husband and I took sponsored by Lamar Gilchrist.  We could not believe at the time that she was ninety as she walked down the streets in Ireland like she was 60.  She was a delightful person to know.

Thank you mrs porter for being a kind and caring teacher to a brat like me.  Progress elementary 65-66

Mrs. Porter was one of my teachers at Progress. I loved her. She always seemed so elegant back then.

Mrs. Porter was my fourth grade teacher at Progress in 1965.  I remember her reading a story to us every day from her podium. She was a very nice lady. My condolences to her family.

I will miss seeing Ethel when I visit my mother at Bethany. She was so nice to my mother, even though my mother no longer could remember that they were friends. She was a beautiful lady.

Mrs. Porter was one of my fourth grade teachers..& if I remember correctly..she liked to use a podium!!  She was a wonderful teacher.

I remember Mrs. Porter as being one of the best teachers at Progress Elementary and also one of the best dressed. She was always so kind and nurturing.
