He was born March 17, 1917 in Zagorje, Croatia; he was the son of the late Martin and Magdalena Staznik and preceded in death by nine siblings and his loving wife of 76 years, Vera.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Staznik and Gabriel (Jean Marie) Staznik; two daughters, Vesna (Peter) Ranck and Rosemarie (William) Witmer; 7 grandchildren, Peter (Jo Ann) Ranck, Melody (Brian) Zimmerman, Tanja (Shane) Zerbe, Harmony (Mike) Costanzo, Gabriel (Rebecca) Staznik, Marija Staznik and Jordan Staznik; and 8 great-grandchildren, Drew, Peter Andrew, Daniel, Jonah, Jett, Juliette and Gabriel.
Gabriel was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Gabriel loved and enjoyed dancing with his wife. He earned the reputation as the finest tailor in the area.
A service of remembrance will be held at 12:00 Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill. A viewing will be held from 11:00 Saturday until the time of service
