

He was born on September 13, 1946 in Long Chau, Vinh Long, Vietnam, the son of the late Doan The Kham and Tong Thi Kim.
Khiem was the eldest brother of 5. Preceding him in death were his brothers Doan The Khai & Doan The Khuong.
Khiem was married to Nguyen Thi Nguyet for 55 years. He graduated Cum Laude from Da Lat University and worked for Tin Nghia bank in Vietnam.
Khiem was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament parish in Harrisburg PA and was a very faithful man. He built his schedule around attending mass and had daily morning prayers with his wife Nguyet.
His hobbies included singing karaoke, attending mass and all prayer services and having light beverages with his friends and family. He most enjoyed taking care of his family, including cooking for them and tending to their needs. He will be best remembered for his kindness, friendliness, care for others, and loving his wife, children and grandkids, and for being a good man.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kathy Tran and her husband Brandon Tran of San Diego CA. Phuong Khang Doan and her husband Minh Tam Tran of Destin Florida. Ankhang Doan and her husband David Chu of Mechanicsburg PA, along with his two sisters, Doan Thi Khanh and Doan Thi Khuyen and six nieces and nephews and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011, on Friday May 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Visitation will also be held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament & Vietnamese Martyrs Church; 2121 N 3rd St, Harrisburg, PA 17110, on Saturday May 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at the same location on May 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Family requests no donations, but please remember Khiem for his kindness and a dedication to his Catholic faith.
