He is preceded in death by his father, H.R. Baer, mother Ethel (Beck) Baer, and brother Douglas Baer.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 63 years, Donna (Corkle) Baer, daughters Deborah Miller (Dwayne) and Denise Hamilton (Marlin), 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Randy entered the Aviation Cadet Program in 1958 and was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant and rated Navigator after a year. Retired a Lt. Col. from the US Air Force where he primarily flew in F101B Voodoo fighter interceptor jets as a Weapon Systems Officer for 22 years. He then went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service in 2005, after 22 years.
His hobbies included reading, camping and woodworking. He enjoyed spending time with his family the most. Donations may be made, in his honor, to Grane Hospice Care of Camp Hill, PA.
Services will be held on Tuesday April 8th at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market Street Camp Hill, PA 17011. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Internment will take place at 1:00 pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
