He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Alfred and Vergie Katherine (Kaiser) Keys.
He was a veteran serving in the US Air Force and served in WWII, stationed in the Pacific.
Prior to retirement, he was a Project Engineer with Bell Telephone.
Robert was a member of Perservance Lodge # 21, Harrisburg.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Myrl Cleo Keys in 2010 and his son, Stephen R. Keys in 2008.
Surviving are his granddaughters: Jennifer Leonard and Jaclyn Keys, and his great-grandchildren, Chase and Taylor Leonard.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with visitation from 1:00 until time of service. Burial will be private at Rolling Green Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
