He was born May 9, 1961 in Harrisburg, son of the late James and Nancy (Leader) Carmody.
Scott is survived by his brothers Mark Carmody of Hampden Township, PA and Michael Carmody (wife Kimberly, daughters Erin and Megan) of Olney, MD. He also has relatives in Florida, Kentucky and the Philadelphia area.
Scott graduated from Cumberland Valley High School. He enjoyed bowling, going to Rush concerts and being the manager of his high school’s football, basketball and track & field teams. Most of all he loved being around people whether it was working as the team’s manager under Harry Chapman, seeing Marilyn and Cindy at high school reunions, helping Mr. Toter with Meals On Wheels, meeting friends at Wonderful Wanda’s or talking with people at Essex House especially Ryan and Vicki.
After Scott graduated from high school, he was employed at the Navy Ships Parts Control Center until his retirement.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at St. Katharine Drexel Church, Mechanicsburg, with visitation at 10:30AM, until time of mass. Interment Mt. Rose Cemetery, York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Eagle Foundation at Cumberland Valley where Scott had his greatest memories.
