Shirley M. Hoachlander; 86, of New Bloomfield, peacefully passed away at home, Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Born August 4, 1931, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Ella Mae (Shaner) Rodkey. She was a graduate of William Penn High School and was an employee of the former Stanley Home Products, Camp Hill. She was a member of Hope of Glory Family Church, New Bloomfield, and volunteered at the Bread of Life Ministries in Newport. She loved sewing & quilting, yard sales, and was a master at couponing, macaroni salad, and pie baking, but most of all, loved her family & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. "Jack" Hoachlander, her sister, Betty Heckard, and her brother, Walter Mowers. She is survived by her children; Shayne (Patty) of Corry, Scott (Diana) of Carlisle, and Shelley (Troy) of Camp Hill; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister, Nancy Spidel, and many nieces & nephews, and in-laws.
A viewing will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 12:30 pm, with a funeral service at 2:00 pm, in Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill. Burial will be in New Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope of Glory Family Church, RR 1, Box 491K, New Bloomfield, PA 17068, or Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
