She was born and raised in the Lewistown, Pennsylvania area, graduating from Burnham High School in 1948.
Her husband, Leo Frymire and her daughter, Linda Dennis, precede her in death.
Her son Robert Swartzell, her granddaughter Holly Zeigler, her grandson Robert Alison, 3 great-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, survives Virginia.
She was an avid polka dancer in her earlier years and loved going to the casino. Her beloved dog, Cindy, was the light of her life.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12 PM at the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, PA 17011. A viewing will precede the funeral service at 11 AM at the funeral home. Internment will follow the funeral service to Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homeland at Home Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way #270, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
