Virginia had a heart of gold, and she was loved by all whom she met. She was caring, supportive, and always put her family first. She found great joy in babysitting and spending time with children, and often would babysit her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved all of her grandchildren and made each and every one of them feel like they were her favorite; they all wanted to be her favorite. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love. Many cherished memories were made at Virginia’s place on Shelly’s Island where she, her husband, and grandchildren spent every summer swimming, fishing, boating, running through cornfields, and having cookouts. It was everybody’s favorite place to be. Virginia loved to take part in game nights and would play bingo and poker with her sisters from dusk till dawn. She shared her love for roller skating with her granddaughter, taking her to lady’s night at The Star. In her later years, Virginia found joy in craft activities and puzzles. She would color beautiful pictures and go through books upon books of word searches. Her smile was bright, and her laugh was contagious. Virginia truly was a blessing, and she will be deeply missed by all.
