David Alan Marquis

David Alan Marquis was loved by all, he was our gentle giant. David was born on May 14, 1968 in Oshawa Ontario. He was a quiet good natured child who grew into a handsome young man and a great athlete. David always had many friends in school as well as work. He was on the winning wrestling team at Abbotsford High, he enjoyed playing fastball and hockey and more recently kayaking daily in Discovery Passage. He loved the great outdoors, fishing, camping and hiking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his girls.

After graduating from Kwatlin College David worked in the construction industry for various Cable companies for about 25 years. He was always known for his strong work ethics.

David loved his family, he was a wonderful father to Alicia,Kyla,and Kathryn.Grandpa to Gabriel, Conner and Zoey. Brother to Kevin and Ryan. Uncle to Zachary and Loving son to David Marquis and Susan Konopacki and Stepfather Andrew Konopacki who passed away March 30, 2024.

David will be remembered for his quiet demeanor.He was always willing to listen and provide help.He was the guy to have around if you needed a job done, but most of all David was someone you could depend on for support through tough times. He knew just what to say and do to help you feel better. He had a great laugh and gave the best Hugs.

David passed away suddenly on August 22, 2024.

David there will never be a day when we won't think of you. You will always be a very important part of our family. David you will live on in our hearts and souls forever. We miss you so much.
