Doreen Harder

Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Doris Britt; her sister, Margaret Robson; and her brother, James Britt.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, James “Duckers” Harder; her brother, Garry Britt; and her children, James Harder, Linda Harder, Wendy MacDonald (Dave), and Cathy Ponsford. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Doreen loved the outdoors with her “Duckers.” Together, they spent many happy seasons hunting, fishing, and camping—their special place. These treasured times will always be among our fondest memories of Mom and Nanny.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jokinen and to the nurses and care aids at Campbell River Hospital and Discovery Harbour. We are deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion they showed Mom during her final years, and for the way they appreciated the sense of humor and quick wit that remained with her even in her last days.
