Dorothy was born May 14, 1928, in Toronto, Ontario and graduated from Riverdale C.I. She lived a full and wonderful life, delighting in arranging family gatherings and always remembering and celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with a phone call or a thoughtful card.
She and her late husband, Jack Kinsman, introduced their family to cottage life on the shores of Georgian Bay, where countless cherished memories were made. Dorothy enjoyed her retirement with Jack, in Campbell River, B.C., overlooking the Strait of Georgia.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late William and Lily Henderson. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Kinsman; her daughter, Marion Kinsman; her brothers, Dean Henderson, Andrew Henderson, and Lloyd Henderson; and her sister Sally Meek.
She is survived by her children: John (Lorraine), Robert, Louise (Bruce Holland), and Bruce (Elizabeth); and her sister-in-law Joan Kinsman. She will be lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A burial and memorial will take place in early fall in Salem, Ontario. In Dorothy’s honour, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
