It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight Glen Clayton on October 26, 2025, at the age of 94.
Dwight will be dearly missed by his children Bryan Clayton (Megan) and Laura Brotherston (Brian), and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Everest, Ava, and Nicole. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosaline, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
A long-time resident of Campbell River, Dwight dedicated his career to the local mill, where he built lasting friendships and took pride in his work. Outside of his career, he found joy in camping, boating, traveling, gardening, music, building guitars, and watercolour painting. His creative spirit and gentle nature touched everyone around him.
Dwight will be remembered for his quick wit and kind heart, his love of a good game of cribbage, and the time he spent surrounded by family, friends, and his community.
He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, creativity, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Campbell River.
