

Gordon left the farm and moved to Edmonton where he worked for Alberta Telephone. Later, he worked at IAC Finance for 22 years.
In 1953, Gordon met the love of his life Jeannie Strukoff. They married in 1954; soon after they had Wayne, Debra, and Karen.
In 1972, the family moved to Campbell River. Gordon left IA and became a partner in Rays Color Centre which became United Carpet.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, sister Doreen, and brothers Lyle and Ralph.
Gordon is survived by: his loving wife of 72 years; his children Wayne (Christine), Debra (Gord), and Karen (Peach); sister Carol (Werner); and brothers Keith, Gerry, and David (Maria).
Grandchildren Christopher, Melodie, Michelle, Nikki, Josh, and Cody.
12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gordon was a man of great faith; he was principled, kind, compassionate, supportive, and loving.
Gordon’s love for his family was evidenced by the love his family felt for him. He had an amazing memory and was known for his story telling. He had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. He loved his house, garden, and yard.
Gordon will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 10th at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion in Campbell River.
