With much sadness we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Joan Rogers on September 28, 2026. Joan was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on April 30, 1936 to Frank and Annie Livingston and was one of seven children. Joan loved her prairie province dearly and often shared stories of her childhood. In 1955 Joan married George Rogers and they moved to Campbell River where they raised four children and created a joyful, loving home.
Joan was an active, dedicated member of numerous organizations in Campbell River. A devoted member of the United Church, she generously offered her time and talents to the UCW, the Church choir and the Girl Guides of Canada. Joan filled her life with the things she loved - quilting, sewing, crafting, camping, and travelling.
Family will lovingly treasure Joan’s handmade quilts and her many cherished family traditions. Joan will be missed for her incredibly supportive, caring spirit and quick wit.
Joan was predeceased by her husband George and her daughter Judy. She is survived by her siblings Lillian (Erwin), David (Heather), John (Vivian). Children: Greg, Bob (Tammy), Gwenda. Grandchildren: Brian (Andrea), Eric (Karen), Kelly (Michelle), Mitchell, Laine (Taylor), Ramzy. Great-grandchildren: Brady, Jorja, Juliette, Lincoln, Ethan, Ava, Wyatt, along with many extended family members, and dear friends old and new.
