Kenneth Gordon Lewis

Ken was born on January 12, 1956 in Powell River. He and Marg met in March 1992 and were married January 22, 1994. For 34 years they lived a life full of travel adventures, including many camping trips around the province. Their favourite place was the west coast of Vancouver Island where they walked the beaches with their succession of sweet dogs, Barney, Kiki and Penny. It was their time together as a family, a chance to listen to the waves crashing feel the wind blow and just be.

Ken was a logical, very intelligent man. He studied and earned diplomas at Malsapina College, BCIT, Kwantlen Polytechnic University and SAIT in Calgary. He worked in the forest industry in Port Alice, Prince Rupert and at MacMillan Bloedel, first in Powell River and later at their research facility in Burnaby. He retired from PowerTech Labs in Surrey in 2018. He was a devoted, patient, funny, loving husband to his wife Marg. He was a good friend to John Parkin, who he’d known most of his life, and to Bea and Rob, who played many games of Rummy-O with him.

Ken is survived by his wife Marg, His nephew and his family, Darren, Maureen, Olivia and Sam and David and Carol Johnston. He was predeceased by his mother, Elsie Lewis, his father Reg, and his sister Eileen.
