The family of Sonja Norrgard of Campbell River is sad to announce her peaceful but sudden passing on July 6th, 2026. Her mind remained sharp even as her body failed her. She left this world confident that she had led a good life and was loved by many.
Sonja enjoyed family gatherings and chatting with friends and family at Tyee Spit. She shared jokes with anyone who looked like they needed a laugh. She searched the internet to satisfy her curiousity about all manner of things and loved it when friends came to visit. Sonja always took special interest in the lives and experiences of all her nieces and nephews in Canada and from her native country, Germany.
At her request, there will only be a family gathering, but sunflowers were her favourite flower. If you knew Sonja, please think of her every time you see one and she will never be truly gone.
