Donald Chester Murray

It’s with great sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Donald Chester Murray, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the age of 77, Mr. Donald Murray of Glen Levit, husband of Gail Boddle.

Donald was born on March 12, 1948, in Robinsonville, NB although he lived some of his life in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Caltha (Knowles) Murray and the late Chester Murray.

Donald enjoyed baking bread, going fishing, hunting and playing jokes on his family. In addition, he loved to tell stories about the good old days and was an avid pet lover. For many years Donald was a bus driver, he also spent time working on the river as both a fishing guide and a warden.

Donald left behind his wife Gail (Smith) Murray and his childrens; Robert (Bob) Boddle, Scott Boddle, Troy Boddle and Lorrie (late Vernon) McDavid, Jason Murray. Also, by his grandchildrens; Austin Boddle, Braden Boddle, Calleigh Boddle, Cayden Murray and Caleb Murray.

He was predeceased by his parents and son-in-law Vernon McDavid.

A grave side funeral will be held on Friday, November 28th at 2:30 pm at the Murray graveyard in Robinsonville, NB. After the burial a luncheon will begin at the Glen Levit, NB, Firehall where we invite friends and family to gather.
