

On December 20th, 2023, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, died at the age of 93, Mr. Joseph Benoit Daigle of Campbellton, husband of Jeannine Poulin Daigle. He was the son of the late Joseph Daigle and the late Marie Theriault Daigle of Drummond, NB.
Besides his wife Jeannine, he is survived by his 7 children: Reginal (Jane Gallant) of Moncton, Denise (Bill Dow) of Campbellton, Monique (Mario St-Onge) of Campbellton, Charles of Point la Nim, Bernard ( Carla Allison) of Bathurst, Françoise (Larry Clark) of Campbellton and Frederic (Loretta Barnaby) of Campbellton; his grandchildren: Mathieu (Joanne), Dominique (Kenny), Drake (Jennifer), Eric (Kelsy), Melisandre (Marc-Andre), Ashton and Catherine, 4 great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Aline Dube of Bathurst and his brother Ronald of Moncton.
He is now resting with his parents and his 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Benoit, a long-time entrepreneur, and unifier, has a generous soul working in his community as president of the SACPA, member of the UCT, president of the Campbellton Tigers, director of the Campbellton Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the renewal committee downtown and president and founder of the Friendship Center.
Benoit's funeral will take place on Friday, December 29th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church in Campbellton. Visitation at the funeral home for Mr. Daigle will be held on December 28th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At the request of the family, please respect distancing during the visit to the funeral home. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as well as any other charitable associations in the region.
