He has passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on the Palliative Care Unit, on June 12, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
Born in Campbellton, NB on October 10, 1945, he was the son of Aline (Gallant) Hackett and the late John Gordon Hackett.
He leaves to mourn his loving mother Aline; his partner and best friend, Ishbel MacNab; his daughters: Kelli (Mike), Jodi and Mindi (Denis); his children, by choice, Jonathan and Haylie Ann Langwald; his sister Kay, two brothers: Mike (Elaine) and Charles (Sylvie). He is survived also by his grandson, Jesse and the yet to be born daughter of Mindi & Denis as well as his grandchildren, by choice, Caryn and Ian Langwald; several nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by all, including his many friends.
The funeral mass was held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton and officiated by Father William Arseneault.
