MOUNT PLEASANT NATIVE PASSES IN CALIFORNIA
Following a long illness, Edward John ("Butch") Hunter, 69, who grew up in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from Hurst High School in 1959, passed away on September 29 in Woodland Hills, California. He was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Hunter of Star Route in Mt. Pleasant.
Ed was survived by his wife Carol, five daughters Kim Cipolloni, Kerry Hunter, Katie Ronco, Erin Hunter, Molly Hunter, his brother Robert, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Ed was a graduate of the Martland Medical Center School of Nursing (Newark, NJ) and became a Certified Nurse Anesthetist. He also earned a B.S. Degree in Nursing Administration from Redlands University (CA).
He practiced his profession in various hospitals in New Jersey and ended his career with more than 20 years of service with the Kaiser Permanente Group in California.
He is interred at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, California.
