My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends, for the lost of their beloved Matthew. I hope the promise at John 6:40 can bring real comfort. Knowing that there is hope for our love ones.

My deepest condolences.  Today is also the gravestone setting for our dear friend Martin Landau, my best friend.  We all spent many happy youth athletic moments together, and Martin and I enjoyed Matthew's always enthusiastic spirit and his joie de vie. 
I imagine them today together in Heaven rejoicing in their friend's and family's love for them and God and Jesus.  Martin told me on my birthday the week before he died he had been talking to Jesus and I can see him assisting Matthew in his journey upward as he had given him a ride home in his youth a time or two.  May God and Jesus bless you all at this most difficult time and know they are both safe with the great I Am.

Matthew was a beautiful and kind spirit who I loved dearly. Matthew was also one of the finest teen athletes on the planet, a world-class surfer, karate expert, and more.  I am devastated by this news. Please pray for his family.

Chris and I are heartbroken to hear that Matt has left all of us too soon.  He was such a fun loving kid, living life to its fullest and always with a smile on his face.  He will surely be missed by all, even those of us who only knew him for such a short time.  As I looked through his Instagram, he posted on February 13, 2016 "Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ died for us!!  Time to stop living out of oneself and for the bigger picture....Eternity!!! There's much more then just our human body on planet earth guys!!  It's never too late our savior forgives us because he loves us so much and created us! He gives us an option to live for yourself or for eternity.  He's simply"Just"
