Paul.... we will all miss you, especially your many friends and even those you don’t even know.  You have done so much for Canoga Park, but most of all You made everything fun. Who could forget the St Patrick parades and all the fun entertainment.

  I remember eating at Follow Your Heart when I was just a young single man and I loved the food you served.  Who would ever imagine we would end up neighbors as time past.  

What a whirl wind guy..  You accomplish more in you life time than  most people.  Every market I go into out here in Thousand Oaks I see you.....it’s either Mayo and some great salad dressing.  To me you are FYH..  What a great legacy you created, so you will live on.

I offer my deep condolences to Paul’s loved ones. He was a great man whose passion and love was evident in everything he did. A man of conscience, he stood strong by his values, without proselytizing or making others feel bad. He showed how important it was to be a vegetarian by steadfastly providing excellent food through his products, his café and his store. But this is only part of his legacy. He also stood by his beliefs and beautiful values no matter how difficult life got. A man of character, his life and legacy was truly a Great Work. 

I loved my conversations with Paul. He was open, compassionate, and courageous. Paul was the kind of friend who wasn’t afraid to call you on your stuff. He provided vital feedback, based on keen observations, which allowed you to evaluate who you were as a person and change for the better. This is so rare in a friendship, and I valued it in ways that are not possible to express. 

I can’t recall a time I spent with Paul that didn’t involve laughter. Some of my favorite memories of him are the times we would laugh so much that others nearby walked over and asked to be part of the conversation! 

He was such a beautiful and generous friend. He loved unconditionally and deeply with an outpouring of compassion, while asking for nothing in return. An exceptional and beautiful human being whose love extended to so many, he was nonetheless very committed to family.  His love for his family was boundless, and we often spoke about the ways he was working to to increase the depth of his love. I well remember the sparkle in his eyes when he talked about Brooke, and his deep pride when he introduced me to his family. 

I will miss Paul deeply for the rest of my life. My heart goes out to his family, friends, loved ones, employees, customers, clients and all who were lucky enough to have a relationship with him. Paul mattered to so many. What a magnificent, beautiful and amazing old soul he was.
