

Born on February 4, 1941 in Paterson, New Jersey, Phyllis G. DeFranco passed on May 9, 2026 at the age of 85 in Woodland Hills, California. Phyllis enjoyed her regular visits back home to spend time with her loved ones, doing all of her favorite things. Phyllis was a Broadway musical enthusiast, having seen Jersey Boys over 20 times with her beloved husband, Tony. She relished good company, good food, nightlife and walks around New York City.
Mom reminded us to live life to the fullest and make each day count by filling it with love and laughter. She left us with so many opportunities to smile - we can recall her sauce, endless meals and gatherings. sharp wit, dance lessons, and strong spirit. Phyllis had a passion for all things beautiful and an unwavering love and commitment to her family and friends.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Dana DeFranco; son, Tony DeFranco; granddaughter, Ava DeFranco, and grandson, Anthony DeFranco. She leaves behind a long list of family and friends who will forever hold her dear in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held on June 6 at 11:30 at St. Bernadine Catholic Church in Woodland Hills, CA. Phyllis was a devout follower of St. Jude. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phyllis’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and/or the American Lung Association.
