Priscilla (Pril) Sullivan of Woodland Hills passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74 after a long illness. She is survived by William (Bill), her loving husband of 51 years; their five children: Kathleen, Michael, Christopher, John and Kevin; six grandchildren: Disa, Erin, Malcolm, Paige, Samantha and Adam; and her brother John Perenyi.
The youngest of five children of John C. and Ethel M. Perenyi, Pril grew up in Malverne NY, and attended Malverne High and St. John's University. She worked as a secretary in New York City with American Potash, and met Bill in 1961 in Leonardo, New Jersey.
Pril devoted her life to her family and to helping others; she was never without a friend, a cause, or a charity to assist. For decades, she volunteered through the Catholic Church visiting homebound seniors and coordinating and providing home-cooked meals for people in need. She served as an active member and in several officer positions with the West Valley Garden Club and the Canoga Park-West Hills Republican Women Federated group, frequently driving friends to events. Cooking was another of Pril's passions; creating gourmet, from-scratch meals was her expression of love for family and guests. Pril will be remembered for her strong faith, strong will, fun personality and sense of humor, and her humility and generosity.
It was Pril’s wish that donations in her name be made to Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, or to a charity of one’s choosing.
