Carol Diane Pearlman, longtime resident of Dedham, peacefully passed into the hands of our Lord on November 6, 2021 in the presence of her brother Michael, his wife Trudy, and one of her nieces, Linda, ending a rapid and devastating cancer illness.
Carol is survived by her immediate family, Michael Pearlman and sister Harriett Fromer. She leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends in the greater Boston area, as well as Hawaii, Puerto Rico and California.
Born in Lynn Mass on July 23, 1940, one of three children of Rose B. Pearlman and Nathan H. Pearlman, Carol was a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1958. She later attended Westbrook Junior College and Boston University, majoring in biology. Prior to graduation Carol worked at a medical lab in Boston. A staunchly independent and self-made woman, Carol eventually became the owner and President of Computer & Engineering Services, a personnel agency specializing in computer programmers and engineers. Ultimately, Carol found her life’s work as a real estate agent and moved to Dedham where she established a reputation as “the one to see if you wanted to buy or sell a house.” She earned acclaim as a top agent at DeWolf Real Estate Co., Delaney Realtors, and County Properties before establishing herself as an independent realtor.
Carol was a lifelong animal lover, with a special passion for her dogs. She channeled that love into the breeding of West Highland Terriers “Westies,” and Airedale Terriers, and was a very integral part of that world for many years. Her wish was to be buried with her beloved pets, and will accordingly have her ashes comingled and interred with them.
A celebration of her life is to be held in the Spring 2022 at a date and place to be announced. Those wishing to attend may provide their email address to [email protected] for notification. The family would also love any fond remembrances to be emailed to that same address. Carol will be missed.
