David S. Cohen

David Sherman Cohen, beloved son of the late Ida and Louis Cohen, grew up in Roxbury and proudly graduated from Roxbury High School, Class of 1954. He went on to earn his master’s degree in business from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.

David was the devoted husband and best friend of Harriet “Cookie” Cohen for 36 wonderful years. Together they blended their families, creating a loving home filled with warmth and joy while sharing many holidays and special occasions.

Their family includes their adored children Danny Cohen, Allison Karsay and Victor Miller, along with his treasured grandchildren Justin and Mandi Miller, and Ava and Michael Karsay. Also survived by his daughter Lisa and her wife Jordanna, grandson Douglas, and granddaughter Jenna.

David was a proud US Army Veteran who enjoyed serving his country. David outlived his loving sister Marilyn Sobelman and his beloved sister-in-law Enid Lubarsky.

David had immense love for his Temple Kol Tikvah in Sharon, where he celebrated his second Bar Mitzvah on June 22, 2019, surrounded by his family, friends and congregants. He also served as Treasurer and Vice President of Finance demonstrating his commitment to his community.

David had a successful and fulfilling career in the inventory business, retiring at age 70. He delighted in his passions which included weekly poker games, traveling, and the New England Patriots.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.

Shiva will follow the burial at Temple Kol Tikvah, 9 Dunbar Street, Sharon, on Wednesday until 6pm and continue on Thursday from 6:30pm - 9pm.
