Dr. Goodman saved my sister's life and that of my nephew at the time of his birth.  In fact my nephew was named David because of the close relationship he established with her.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Seth, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your father.  He was simply a wonderful doctor and a remarkable man.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. I didn't have the honor of meeting him personally,but we had many wonderful talks by phone. I called him "Uncle Dave" because he and my Dad, Henry Switkay, grew up together in Mount Holly, NJ,and remained good friends, always. Uncle Dave, I will miss your compassion, your loving spirit, your sense of humor, and the way you always made me feel as if I was the most important person in the world to you, every time we talked on the phone. I was a patient up until he retired. He was always professional and kind. He delivered my two daughters. They don't make them like him anymore.

Dr. Goodman was the most wonderful doctor I ever had.  He delivered 2 of my 3 girls and helped to make each experience a joyful one!  I'd go to every appointment with a page full of questions and he would patiently answer every one.  I always left his office feeling reassured and happy.  He told me once in recent years that he hated to peek into the waiting room and see it getting full because he worried he'd keep somebody waiting.  Only once in over 30 years did he keep me waiting and that was because he was called out on an emergency--and even then I waited less than half an hour!  In later years he became my primary care physician.  I called him once to ask what I should do about my hurt ankle.  He told me to go to Quincy Hospital Emergency, and after I'd been there a few minutes, I heard a familiar voice and looked up to find him there.  When I asked what he was doing there, he said he just wanted to make sure I was taken care of.  He then proceeded to bandage my ankle because he didn't want me sitting there waiting!   Another time I went to him with a sore finger; he said I needed a specialist and called doctor after doctor until he found one who could take me right away so I could have it taken care of and go back to work!  
I will always remember how good he was at his work and how considerate and kind he was to me.  He was one in a million and I shall miss him always.

Dr. Goodman was a pleasure to work with. No matter who you were or your place in the hospital, he always had a smile and a 'Hello!' He's one of my fondest memories of Quincy City Hospital. My condolences to you, his loved ones. Carol Sylvia

I met Dave in 1973 when I was hired by the Quincy Community Action Agency to run its new Family Planning Clinic in Germantown. Dave was my hero; he stepped right up and agreed to be the facility's doctor. Without him, we would not have been able to operate. He was a wonderful  human being and a caring and excellent doctor. Forty years later we reconnected as he and my parents resided at the River Bay Club and were evening dining mates. It was wonderful to see him again and he was, as always, so considerate of me and my folks. He was an outstanding member of the Quincy community and I hold him in the highest regard. Seth, I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was not only a wonderful doctor and teacher but a great friend since 1961. I remember how proud he was when you were born.  I can't believe you will ever know how much he loved to share your achievements as you grew up.  He left many good memories with a lot of people.

I was a patient of dr goodman's in the early 60's and throughout his practice. If it wasn't for dr goodman I would not have had my son. I had 3 miscarriages. He also saved my life when I had cancer. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great man and doctor.anne

Dr. Goodman was the "gold standard" for all doctors. He was the consumate professional: a compassionate expert in his field. I was fortunate to be his patient for more than thirty years. I have fond memories of him with Nurse Ruth at his side. Treasures both! I am truly sorry for your loss.

Dr. Goodman delivered all four of my children many years ago.  It was he who told me that I was expecting twins and thought that was just great!  He was a great big wonderful man.  Rest in peace Dr..  Judy McKee
